Patio Types We Build
From simple backyard slabs to expansive wraparound entertaining areas, we build patios for every layout and use case.
Backyard Patios
The standard residential patio, sized for outdoor furniture, grill, and family use. Most range from 200 to 500 square feet.
Covered Patio Slabs
Slabs poured under pergolas, pavilions, or patio covers. Graded with proper slope to move water away from your foundation.
Wraparound Patios
L-shaped or U-shaped patios extending along two or more sides of your home, creating distinct outdoor zones.
Outdoor Kitchen Foundations
Level, heat-resistant concrete foundations for appliances, stone surrounds, and fire features with proper thickness and reinforcement.
Fire Pit Pads
Dedicated fire pit foundations integrated into your patio pour. Planning these into the initial pour saves money versus adding later.
Poolside Concrete
Slip-resistant surfaces with specific drainage attention. Broom finish for traction, or stamped to match your pool deck design.

Finish Options
Concrete Patio Finishes
The finish you choose shapes the look, feel, and maintenance needs of your patio.

Broom Finish Patios
$6 to $12 per square foot
The most practical and affordable option. Broom finish creates a textured, slip-resistant surface that handles rain, snow, and foot traffic without problems. It is the standard for patios where function and budget are the priority. You can add integral color for a step up in appearance without the cost of stamping.

Stamped Concrete Patios
$12 to $25 per square foot
Stamped concrete transforms a plain slab into a decorative surface that mimics natural stone, brick, flagstone, or other materials. Popular patterns in Utah County include ashlar slate, cobblestone, random stone, and herringbone brick. Borders and accent bands can frame the main pattern for added visual interest.

Colored Concrete Patios
$8 to $15 per square foot
Integral color added to the concrete mix creates a uniform tone throughout the entire slab, not just the surface. This means chips or wear do not reveal gray concrete underneath. Combined with broom finish texture, colored concrete gives you a custom appearance at a moderate price point.
Comparisons
Concrete Patios vs. Other Options
How concrete stacks up against other materials in Utah County's climate.
Concrete Patio vs. Wood Deck
- Concrete: $6 - $25/sq ft vs. Wood Deck: $15 - $50+/sq ft
- Concrete lasts 25+ years with minimal maintenance
- No staining, sealing, or board replacement needed
- Handles UV and freeze-thaw better than wood in Utah
Concrete Patio vs. Pavers
- Broom finish ($6-$12/sq ft) is cheaper than pavers ($10-$30+/sq ft)
- Monolithic surface handles ground movement uniformly
- No shifting, settling, or weed growth between joints
- Less long-term maintenance and repair cost
Do Concrete Patios Add Value to Your Home?
Yes. Homeowners can recoup 50% to 75% of their patio investment at resale, with higher returns for decorative finishes. Beyond resale value, a patio gives your family functional outdoor space for 7 to 9 months of the year in Utah's climate.
Our Process
Patio Installation Process
Every project follows the same structured process, handled personally by Bryce and his son from start to finish.
Free In-Person Estimate
Bryce visits your property to evaluate the space, discuss your vision, assess soil conditions and drainage, and review access for concrete trucks. You receive a written proposal with dimensions, finish type, timeline, and total price.
Design Consultation
We discuss patio shape, size, finish options, color choices, border designs, and how the patio connects to your home, lawn, and landscaping. This conversation happens on-site so we can reference the actual space.
Site Preparation
We handle tear-out and disposal of existing surfaces, excavate to the proper depth, grade the subsoil for drainage, and compact the base material. Proper base preparation is the most important factor in long-term patio performance.
Formwork & Reinforcement
We build the forms to your agreed dimensions and shape. Wire mesh or rebar is placed for reinforcement, and we verify grade and slope before the pour.
Concrete Pour & Finishing
The concrete is placed, consolidated, and screeded to uniform thickness. For broom finish, we float the surface and apply texture. For stamped concrete, we apply color, stamp the pattern, and complete all detail work.
Sealing & Curing
Stamped patios receive a protective sealer that enhances color and protects the surface. We provide specific curing instructions based on season and weather. Avoid heavy use for at least 7 days.
Follow-Up
We check in after the project to make sure you are happy with the result and answer any questions about maintenance and care.
